TX2275

220W RMS @4Ω 2-Channel class-AB amplifier with variable active x-over

Introduction

The MTX TX2275 amp is powerful and flexible. It can power 2 loudspeakers (2Ω ~ 8Ω) of large diameters in the front, rear doors or on the deck. It shines with its legendary dynamics and exceptional musicality. It has nothing to do with the microscopic amplifiers without switching power supply that equip car radios ... In bridged mode (Bridge), it is capable of feeding a subwoofer or a 4Ω subwoofer. Its variable active filter allows it to be extremely precise: 12dB / oct high pass or variable low pass from 50 to 120Hz. If you don't know where to start adjusting the active filter, the potentiometer is equipped with an 80Hz "click" position. You can not be wrong. To avoid interference problems, we have equipped the TX2275 with balanced inputs. They perfectly isolate the audio ground of the amp so that it does not mix with the noisy ground of the power supply. This is a powerful technique that is usually found on very high end amps. If your car radio is not equipped with RCA outputs, you can connect the TX2275 to the high level inputs. All you need to do is connect the HP cables directly to the high level input of the amplifier. Simple and very practical. If you need it, the MTX EBC-1 remote control is available as an option. It can allow you to adjust the level of the subwoofer with a simple analog knob, sitting in the front seat. Finally, its design and construction are of remarkable quality. Its all-aluminum chassis is the same as that of the prestigious MTX TX6500D and TX81000D amps. We don't skimp on quality at MTX...

Recommended Efficient Associations

Recommanded MTX speakers: TR series or TX2 series or TX4 series or TX6 series speakers

Recommanded MTX subwoofers: RT10-04 or RT12-04 or RT15-04

Recommanded MTX enclosures: RTE12AS or RTT12AV or RTF10AS

The quality of your system will be the quality of the weakest link. You have to balance your system with quality speakers (MTX TR TX2 TX4), a reliable musical and dynamic amplifier (MTX TX2275), a quality subwoofer (MTX RTE12AS RTE12AV RTF10AS…) and careful assembly.

Restrictions

The power of the amplifier should not exceed that of the loudspeaker. You have to compare RMS powers with RMS powers. The amplifiers should not be exposed to moisture, excessive vibration, or high temperatures.

Warning

MTX wants you to enjoy your hearing for a long time. Excessive exposure to loud volumes can damage your hearing. The United States Department of Labor recommends not exceeding the following recommendations.

  • 90db : maximum 8 hours/day
  • 92dB : maximum 6 hours/day
  • 95db : maximum 4 hours/day
  • 97db : maximum 3 hours/day
  • 100db : maximum 2 hours/day
  • 102db : maximum 90 minutes/day
  • 105db : maximum 60 minutes/day
  • 110db : maximum 30 minutes/day
  • 115db : maximum less than 15 minutes/day
  • 120db : immediate danger, 0 minute/day
